While the spirit animal can assist in combat or tasks, it is fragile and best suited for support or light skirmishes.

The animal lasts for up to 10 turns before vanishing.
The spirit animal is fixed and cannot be changed once determined.
Boosts can increase the spirit animal's size and extend its duration, but no further boosts to strength or durability are allowed.
